PREAMBLE
We, the members of the Sanguine Cubers Association, in order to honor and recognize enthusiast of cube puzzles and other brain twisters in our community, and to promote a higher quality and standard of involvement and interaction in cubers and puzzle solvers community do hereby establish and uphold this constitution and bylaws
CONSTITUTION
ARTICLE
The name of this organization shall be “Sanguine Cubers Association”
ARTICLE II. PURPOSE
Section 1. The objectives of the Sanguine Cubers Association shall be to:
a) Encourage and assist students interested in puzzle especially in cubing to develop the knowledge, skills, competence, and enthusiasm that are essential to the advancement of their logical thinking and utilization of their leisure time.
b) Stimulate interest in cubing and puzzle solving;
c) Develop collegiality among students who are members having the same interests;
d) Promote public interest in cube and puzzle;
e) Provide liaison between students and the member societies involved this field of interest.
f) Recognize potential achievement among students by means of membership and by holding competitions.
ARTICLE III. MEMBERSHIP
Section 1. ELIGIBILITY.
a) This shall be open to all persons who subscribe to the purposes of this association.
b) New members shall have signed an application form and have it approved by registration officer.
c) Shall hold full membership status upon payment of a fee. Hereafter, full members shall be referred to as members.
d) Member shall attend on general meeting of Sanguine Cubers Association.
e) All members of Sanguine Cubers Association shall have voting privileges.
Section 2. TYPES OF MEMBERSHIP.
a) Sanguine Cubers Association Student Membership
> A Sanguine Association Society member who is a registered student in the university for the current school year.
b) Sanguine Cubers Association Alumnus Membership
> A Sanguine Cubers Society member who is not a student shall be designated an alumnus member for life and shall have all the rights and privileges.
c) Sanguine Cubers Society Honorary Membership
> Any person who has attained noteworthy distinction in a related field shall be eligible for honorary membership, regardless of whether or not that person is a student or alumnus of the university.
Section 3. MEMBERSHIP FEE.
a) The annual membership dues shall be Php50 for all types of membership. Members who pay dues will be in good standing and eligible for membership benefits. Annual membership shall be paid not after the month of July.
c) Membership fee for those who will be new members should be paid upon submission of application form.
ARTICLE IV. Amendments
Amendments to the Constitution may be submitted by a member at any time to the Executive Board for review and approval. The approved version of the amendment is to be submitted by the Executive Board, with an explanation of the purpose of the amendment, to the members of Sanguine Cubers Association for approval by mail ballot. A simple majority of the members voting is required for ratification.
BYLAWS
Section 1. The Executive Board shall consist of a President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. The Executive All members in good standing are eligible for election to office. The members may elect such applicant by secret ballot and a majority vote of the members present. Board shall serve as the policy body of Sanguine Cubers Association.
Section 2. The President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer shall be elected by the members of Sanguine Cubers Association. The term of office shall be for one year, beginning the first day of each school year.
Section 3. If any elected officer is unable to serve a full term, a new officer shall be appointed by a majority vote of the remaining members of the Executive Board.
Article II. Duties of Officers
Section 1. The President shall:
a) Preside at Chapter meetings of Sanguine Cubers Association and at meetings of the Executive Board.
b.) Coordinate business and affairs of Sanguine Cubers Association.
c.) Appoint persons to non-elected positions of the Executive Board and within the association, with approval of a majority of the Executive Board. These positions include committee chairs and representatives to other organizations.
d.) Perform other duties incident to the office as required by the Constitution and Bylaws or by the Executive Board.
Section2. The Vice President shall:
a) Perform all duties of the President in the absence, disability, or resignation of the President.
b) Assist the President in the performance of their duties.

Section 3. The Secretary shall:
a) Prepare and distribute to all members of Sanguine Cubers Association an agenda for each association’s general meeting at least a weeks before the scheduled meeting.
b) Keep minutes of the Sanguine Cubers Association’s meetings and Executive Board meetings.
c) Receive and maintain records of all correspondence to Sanguine Cubers Association.
d) Keep an up-to-date roster of Sanguine Cubers Association members in good standing.
e) Perform other duties incident to the office as required by the Constitution and Bylaws or by the Executive Board.
Section 4. The Treasurer shall:
a) Receive all Chapter fees, donations, and other income; keep these moneys in an authorizedfinancial institution; and disburse all monies to be paid by Sanguine Cubers Association.
b) Maintain financial records for Sanguine Cubers Association.
c) Prepare and present a financial report annually to the membership and to the Executive Board upon request. The report shall be part of the Sanguine Cubers Association Annual Report.
d) Assist the Secretary in maintaining membership records and determining membership status.
e) Perform other duties incident to the office as required by the Constitution and Bylaws or by the Executive Board.
Article III. Committees
Section 1. There shall be the following standing committees:
a) The Membership Committee will seek to expand the membership of the Sanguine Cubers Association, assist the Secretary in membership-related duties.
b) The Program and Publicity Committee shall arrange the activities for the Sanguine CubersAssociations meetings. The Committee is also responsible for publicizing the meetings.
Section 2. Other committees may be created as deemed necessary by the Executive Board.
Section 3. The Chair of each committee shall be appointed by the President, with the approval of a majority of the Executive Board, to serve a term coinciding with the tenure of that President. Any member in good standing with the Sanguine Cubers Association may serve on any committee.
Article IV. Meetings
Section 1. Sanguine Cubers Association general meetings shall be held on a regular basis, at least once a month. Special meetings may be called by the President.
Section 2. The Executive Board shall meet at least once a month to review previous association activities and plan future activities and projects. Executive Board meetings shall be open to members of Sanguine Cubers Association.
Article V. Nominations and Elections
Section 1. An election shall be held once each year to fill the offices of president, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, for the next term. This election shall be held no later than one month prior to the expiration of the current term.

Section 3. Election of nominated members should be done by secret ballot vote.
Section 4. Ballots should be counted by at least 3 members of Nominations and Elections Committee. Ballots should be counted right after the voting period. A simple majority of those who are present in voting is required for election to office. The results of the election are to be presented to the membership right after the counting of ballot.
Article VI. Amendments
Amendment to the Bylaws may be submitted at any time to the Executive Board for review. The final version of the amendment is to be submitted to the members of the Sanguine Cubers Association for approval by secret ballot vote. A simple majority of the members voting is required for ratification.
